This was a triumph
I'm making a note here: huge success It's hard to overstate my satisfaction... I finished it! The 3D Weighted Companion Cube is here, and it is flawless; the ironing is perfectly consistent on EVERY face. I promised I would make this and at long last I finally did. When I first started laying it out, I couldn't figure out the best way to get it to interlock, but I came up with something eventually. Every face is interlocked with the 4 adjacent faces so it is amazingly stable. It's about 4 inches across. And before anyone asks: Yes, the hearts are all oriented the same way they are in the game. I covered all my bases on this one. There is the possibility of a WCC++ in the future, but I'll keep that under my hat for now. I apologize for my crap picture. |
